On June 3, 2012, Jeffrey Smith, author and founder of the Institute for Responsible Technology, gave a talk here in Rochester. After the talk he asked anyone who wanted to form a local action group to come forward. Twelve of us did, and he helped us start a discussion and organize our first meeting. Our group is a chapter of his Tipping Point Network.
We share a commitment to informing people about GMOs and facilitating labeling legislation to support consumers’ right to know what they’re eating. We support each other’s efforts by pooling resources and sharing ideas. We welcome all others to join our action.
Check out our News Feed to see what we’re working on, Subscribe to keep up, join the conversation on Facebook, and find out What You Can Do to help get GMOs out of your food.
